Digital picture frames are still relatively new to the market, and have made a huge impact. Sales have been increasing dramatically, thus companies are releasing more and more digital picture frame models. It’s hard to believe, but they range from $20-$200 in price – the price does not always reflect the quality. We found the best digital picture frames for under $100.
Best Digital Picture Frame #1 – Sony DPF-D810 – Sony did an exceptional job with this digital photo frame. It’s a bit costly, but don’t let that scare you away from this perfected digital picture frame. The 800×600 8-inch screen is the most crisp, brightest/clearest screen we have come across. The Sony DPF-D810 uses the standard 4:3 picture ratio, and it won’t distort any photos if it uses a different ratio. The built is very high quality – meaning it feels like an expensive Sony HDTV. It does come with a remote, which can be very handy. Many owners have reported that they wanted a more simple digital picture frame at first – but now they absolutely love the Sony DPF-D810. $89
Best Digital Picture Frame #2- Viewsonic VFD823-50 Digital Photo Frame – ViewSonic has almost perfected the digital frame industry, offering an affordable quality product. The Viewsonic VFD823-50 is no exception, and is currently the most popular digital photo frame. The eight inch screen is perfect for any countertop, while not taking up much space. It uses 800×600 DPI resolution making the LCD display crystal clear with a nice standard brightness (which can be turned down). If you have a SD card all you do is insert it into the SD slot and it’s up and running. You can also use a USB memory stick to display your photos. The photo selection has many features, including rotate, zoom, crop, stretch or delete photos. Overall a simple, good quality digital photo frame. $45
Best Digital Picture Frame #3 – Kodak EasyShare D725 – Honestly, we weren’t to fond of most of Kodaks digital picture frames, however the D725 was one of our exceptions. The D725 in our opinion is a bit overpriced, and should be around the VFD23-50 price range. It offers an 512MB internal device which can store around ~4,000 pictures. The actual frame looks nice, giving it more of an “old-style” look to it. Overall the picture is crisp and clear. As stated above, we do recommend the ViewSonic VFD8343-50 more, but this Kodak would make a perfect gift for the eldery because of it’s very user-friendly menu. $79
Sony DPF-D810 Review – The DPF-D810 offers the most crisp and clean looking display, and has the best looking stand/frame, definitely worth the extra money.
Viewsonic VFD823-50 Review – We were surprised by the VFD823-50. It’s a very affordable and high quality digital picture frame, definitely the best model put out by ViewSonic when it comes to digital picture frames.
Kodak EasyShare D725 Review – Not the best bang for your buck – but does make a perfect gift for elderly with it’s super easy to use menu. Overall a good digital picture frame, but a bit overpriced.
